
Sanford Pride Elementary's 2nd grade team was in charge of leading the SPE All-School Meeting, which was held on Friday, March 17th. Our community of students was engaged, participated appropriately and enjoyed the meeting.

MCS families were invited in on Wednesday afternoon as children explored the world of color and the colors in their world. The students exposed their families to the functionality of color through information & ideas as well as in art and nature. Some students explained about permanent and temporary colors, staining and
fading, and they dramatized washing and drying within a laundromat.

The SHS School Counseling Department hosted a presentation for students and staff in the PAC to talk about vaping from both the medical and student perspective during Spartan Time this morning. Thank you so much to all of the guests who showed incredible courage in talking about their experiences.

Sanford Community Adult Education is now hosting Career Center Job Fairs every Thursday from March 16th to April 20th, 2:30-4:PM. Each week different companies will be available. Visit them in the Library to learn about a variety of employment opportunities. Call 490-5145 for more information.


Sanford Middle School and Sanford High School are working with Northern Lights to offer Tdap and Meningococcal vaccine. These two vaccines are required before entering 7th grade. Any child entering grade twelve is required to have received two doses of MCV4. The clinic will be held on Thursday, March 23rd.

During a third-grade enrichment class at Sanford Pride Elementary, students were placed in groups of 2 or 3. They were given 30 mini marshmallows and 15 pieces of dry spaghetti.
They had to work with their partners and decide the best way to build their skyscraper to stand without being touched.
All the students did a great job working with their partners. They were challenged to try this at home during our very snowy Saturday to see if they could build one taller.


Sanford Middle School's JMG Program held its Sanford's Got Talent 2023 show on Friday, March 10th. The evening was split into two parts of performances from nearly 40 Sanford Middle School students. Performances included dance routines, guitar solos, ventriloquist demonstrations, and much more. https://bit.ly/3Lt8YEv

From the Sanford Performing Arts Center: Jazz at Lincoln Center's "Songs We Love" is a celebration of the history of American jazz — and its future. Sanford Performing Arts Center joins in that celebration on Saturday, April 1, when Jazz at Lincoln Center takes the stage at 7 p.m. Their stop in Sanford is part of a 47-city tour, from Los Angeles and Atlanta to Orono and Sanford.
