Online Registration for New and Existing Families

Welcome to the Sanford School Department! We look forward to meeting your family.
Currently, this process is optimized for use on a computer. You can complete the process on a mobile device, however, for best results, we recommend using a laptop or desktop computer. If you do not have access to one, please contact the school and we will make one available to you!
After you submit your application, you will receive an email stating that your application is under review. This review process normally takes 1 to 3 business days.
Once the review process has been completed, you will receive another email stating that your student has been enrolled or that the application has been placed on hold due to missing information.

Existing families that have a new student to enroll may do so through their parent portal:

Select the correct registration option

Proof of Residency (property tax bill, rent or mortgage receipt, utility bill) for new families only

Placement for children in Grades Pre-K - 4 is determined by school principals, based on the following:
Keeping siblings together when possible and programming allows
Special education programming needs
Balancing class sizes and profiles
Placing students at the school closest to his/her residence based on home address

Children in grades 9 - 12 attend Sanford High School at 100 Alumni Boulevard, Sanford, Maine 04073. Please call the Sanford High School Counseling Office at (207) 324-4712 to set up an appointment with a school counselor to register your child; we ask that your student accompany you to the appointment.
Who should register?
Pre-K: Children who are 4 years of age on or before October 15th, 2022. For more information regarding Sanford's Pre-Kindergarten Programs, click here.
KINDERGARTEN: Children who are 5 years old on or before October 15th, 2022.
