Here's some important information about upcoming postseason games/meets for our high school teams: The girls' Basketball team had a thrilling victory last evening vs Thornton Academy 63-59.
With this win, they advance to the semifinals at the Cross Insurance Center in Portland on Wednesday, February 21st, at 8:45 pm vs. Gorham High School.
Good luck to the wrestling team, who head to Cony High School on Saturday, February 17th, to compete in the State Tournament at 10 a.m.
Good luck to the indoor track team as they compete in the State Championship meet at USM in Gorham at noon on Monday, February 19th.
On Tuesday, February 20th, members of the wrestling team are heading to compete in the girls wrestling State Championship at Winslow High School at 10 a.m.

Carl J. Lamb Pre-K and Kindergarten students participated in this week's collaborative art and music lesson on the Lunar New Year.
Students made dragon masks in art and learned about traditional Chinese music, dances, and instruments in music class.
Their learning was celebrated with a parade throughout the halls this morning!

130 Sanford High School and Sanford Regional Technical Center students recently completed the Maine Career Exploration Badge through the Jobs for Maine Graduates Program (JMG).

Congratulations to the SHS cheer team for participating in the Class A State Cheering Competition in Augusta on Saturday! The Spartans finished 8th overall!
Sanford Regional Technical Center students in the Cosmetology Program visited Empire Beauty School in Somersworth, New Hampshire.
Students got to experience a day in the life of an Empire student, and each returned with a little memento of some sparkly hair tinsel.
Many former SRTC students have gone on to study at Empire and have successful careers in salons and spas all over New England.
The trip was an exciting opportunity for these students as they think and prepare for life after SRTC.
Sanford Middle School's first cooking club was a blast! Students crafted their own savory spaghetti sauce, assembled fresh salads with dressings, and baked garlic bread. Looking forward to more tasty memories ahead!

Plants Plus at Sanford Regional Technical Center is holding a Valentine’s flower and plant sale from Monday, February 12th, to Wednesday, February 14th.
Roses, daisies, snapdragons, sea lavender, and others are available in large and small arrangements, bouquets, and by the stems.
A variety of house plants are also available. From 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., students will sell out of the kiosk and the greenhouse.

Margaret Chase Smith had their monthly assembly last Friday, and 16 3rd and 4th grade ukulele club members performed for the first time in front of an audience! They did a fantastic job showcasing their new skills with Ms. Hastings.
