Today was orientation for new teachers in the school department. The day provided them the opportunity to meet school committee members, administrators, and staff. They also participated in informational sessions and safety training. We can’t wait for the start of the school year!
The Veterans Memorial Fund is bringing the Wall That Heals to Sanford from September 5th through the 10th.
The Wall That Heals is a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. It’s also coming with a mobile Education Center and will be located on Route 109 in South Sanford, across from Walmart.
The Wall will be open 24 hours a day starting Thursday, September 7th, and free to the public.
The Wall That Heals honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces in the Vietnam War. It provides an opportunity to honor and remember all those who served and sacrificed in the Vietnam War while also affording a valuable learning opportunity for young people in our community, including students.

This is a reminder that Fall sports start next Monday, August 14th. Student-athletes need to be registered on Family ID, have a physical on file, and insurance in order to participate.
This is a reminder that Sanford Middle School and Sanford High School Athletes who need a physical will be able to receive one TOMORROW from 3-5 p.m. at Sanford High School in Room D105. Please use the Community Retail Center entrance near the greenhouse. The cost is $20. Checks can be made payable to York Hospital. Students must be accompanied by their parent/guardian or have the Limited Sports Exam form signed by their parent/guardian. All physicals are valid for two years from the date the physical was given.
