Sanford High School's 130th Commencement on Wednesday night at Alumni Stadium started with some drizzling rain but eventually cleared up into a beautiful night for celebration. The Sanford High School Band is playing the National Anthem at the Sanford Mainers home opener tonight at Goodall Park! The game starts at 6:30 p.m. but be sure to arrive at 6:00 p.m. to see the band! Tickets will be available to purchase at the gate.

Margaret Chase Smith School celebrated their Pre-K promotion ceremony on Thursday.
The event was a great success, with parents and staff coming together to celebrate with the students.
The celebration was filled with fun activities for the students, including drawing and ice cream. The students were excited to see their parents and teachers come to celebrate their achievements throughout the year.

Congratulations to the Kennebunk/Sanford softball team on their 4 to 3 win over Scarborough. They will now move on to the Semi Finals to take on Windham.
The game is at Windham HS on Saturday, June 10th at 10 a.m.

As current students were wrapping up this school year, Sanford Regional Technical Center was busting at the seams, hosting nearly 1,400 8th-grade students from all nine partner schools for an event called “Techsploration.” Read more about it here!

Students at Margaret Chase Smith worked hard earning Paws-itive referrals during the month of May. As a school the students earned 156 referrals. Fourth grade and second grade had a blast as they danced the afternoons away this week with a Glow in the Dark party in the gymnasium. Grades 1, 3 and kindergarten will hit the dance floor this week for their hard work.


The rain held off yesterday for Carl J. Lamb's field day! Thank you to those who donated cornhole boards, those who made t-shirts, flags and bandanas, those who checked in on each other to make sure they had fun, and so many more people who helped make the field day successful.

Graduating seniors received their caps and gowns this morning then walked through the middle school and all of the elementary schools this morning, with students and staff at all of the schools cheering them on. Congratulations!





Sanford Middle School hosted its Step-Up Day for 4th-grade students from Sanford Pride and Carl J. Lamb elementary schools Monday Morning.
The Step-Up Day provides the incoming 5th-grade students a chance to see the school they will attend in the fall.
Student leaders from the middle school provided tours for the students, showing them around the school and providing valuable information about what to expect when they begin middle school in the fall.

Mr. Fernandez's 4th-grade students at Sanford Pride Elementary organized a lemonade
stand to raise money for the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital last week. In one day, they raised $690!!!! Many thanks to those that were able to support their efforts.
