Sanford Regional Technical Center’s Digital Design students recently screen printed 140 t-shirts for the Grahamtastic Connection 5k run and walk. The Grahamtastic Foundation provides free technology for children and other serious illnesses to support their education, as well as their social and emotional well-being. The technology enables children to continue their education during treatment while also remaining connected to family, friend, and medical providers. The Digital Design Program has supported Grahamtastic and their annual 5k for many years.


SHS students got a sneak peak of "PUFFS" this morning in the Sanford Performing Arts Center. The Sanford High School Theater Company will be presenting “PUFFS, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic,” this weekend. Sanford High School senior Hannah Paterson and junior Quang Lam were recently accepted to Jazz All-State.
Jazz All-State is a festival put together by the Maine Music Educators Association. Students from all over the state of Maine audition to be a part of the Jazz festival, which includes an Honors Jazz Band, Jazz Band, Jazz Combo, and Jazz Choir.

Sanford Middle School is hosting its Broadway Junior Raise Your Voice this weekend. The show features songs from various shows, including Roald Dahl’s “Matilda,” “Aladdin Jr.,” and “Disney’s Descendants.” The performances are tomorrow, Friday November 17th, starting at 4:30 p.m., and Saturday, November 18th, at 11 a.m. We hope to see you there!

Sanford Regional Technical Center held its annual Career and College Fair on Thursday, November 9th. The fair provided an opportunity for students to engage with representatives and receive valuable insight, whether they are interested in college or are considering entering the workforce directly after high school.
Over 110 companies, colleges, and military branch representatives came out for the fair. Nearly 1,000 SHS and SRTC students attended the event, which was broken into a.m. and p.m sessions. SRTC’s resident career planning coordinator, Jenn Bartlett, coordinated the fair. Career Explorations Coordinator Katie Schindler assisted in sharing the fair prep curriculum with students, ensuring that they were well-informed and prepared to make the most of the event.
