Sanford Middle School hosted its Step-Up Day for 4th-grade students from Sanford Pride and Carl J. Lamb elementary schools Monday Morning. The Step-Up Day provides the incoming 5th-grade students a chance to see the school they will attend in the fall. Student leaders from the middle school provided tours for the students, showing them around the school and providing valuable information about what to expect when they begin middle school in the fall. Mr. Fernandez's 4th-grade students at Sanford Pride Elementary organized a lemonade stand to raise money for the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital last week. In one day, they raised $690!!!! Many thanks to those that were able to support their efforts.

Important information for parents of SHS seniors: If you use the autopay option in myschoolbucks.com, please remove the AUTO PAY option for your student’s meals account. After the last day of school for seniors, any remaining funds in their school meals accounts will either be transferred to the account of a younger sibling or refunded by check. Refund checks will be mailed home in June.

3rd graders at Margaret Chase Smith had the chance to go to the Historical Society last week to see some artifacts and displays that help students understand Sanford and Springvale's history. Coyotes were also able to take a walking tour to observe some establishments that make Sanford what it is today!
