In September, we expect to continue offering full-day pre-k programming at Carl J. Lamb School, Margaret Chase Smith School, Sanford Pride Elementary School, and Sanford Regional Technical Center. In these Pre-K programs, children participate in age-appropriate learning experiences that promote school readiness and support holistic development. Our programs focus on reading and math skills, creativity, health and nutrition, and social-emotional development. The lottery registration will close at the end of the day on Friday, March 31, 2023. Junior Achievement is a nonprofit organization that recruits volunteers to teach students about economics and personal finance. Sanford Middle School has been hosting this event for many years. On Wednesday, 11 volunteers from local businesses came to Sanford Middle School to teach 8th graders about economic and personal finance. The Maine Department of Transportation is conducting an on-demand public meeting to discuss improvements to the Powers Bridge in Sanford. Powers Bridge is located on Route 4 over the Mousam River.
