The class of 2026 is hosting a dodgeball tournament Thursday, March 16th at 2:30 PM in the high school gym. Parents, staff, students, and community members are encouraged to join and have fun! Carl J. Lamb School had fun celebrating Read Across America Week last week. On March 2nd, each grade level dropped everything to read! We brought in our favorite books, read to our stuffies and our book buddies! CJL Students and Staff LOVE to read!

Come out to the 2nd Annual High School Instrumental Showcase TOMORROW! The concerts starts at 6 p.m. in the competition gym at the high school. It features every instrumental ensemble SHS offers. It's a really great concert to see the variety of music that our students are able to perform!

During this morning's monthly assembly, students at Margaret Chase Smith School presented their February Food Collection to Reverend Susan from the Sanford Food Pantry. During February, each grade was challenged to collect 100 nonperishable items for the food pantry. The school donated a total of over 1,000 items! Way to go!

Officer Michael "Tipper" Thornton, who has served the Sanford School Department for many years as a school resource officer and instructor of the Law Enforcement program at the Sanford Regional Technical Center, officially retired on Tuesday from the Sanford Police Department after 35 years of service. There was a bunch of media coverage at the Sanford Police Department yesterday afternoon for a press conference that identified the remains that were found during a construction site excavation in 2017. Sanford High School history teacher Paul Auger championed this case and had some of his students research the artifacts to try and get any information they could.
