The hallways of Sanford Regional Technical Center were filled with excitement as more than sixty 4th graders from Pride Elementary toured SRTC.
Pride students visited six programs throughout the school with the help of guides Kat Randall, Finn Doughty, Neveah Gagne, Tyrese Ottey, Shawnty Harris, and Connor Rice.
They got to see the students in action and also learned what the programs were all about from the instructors who taught them.
SRTC is planting the seeds and getting kids excited about their future in education.

Head to their green house at the end of the green wing between 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to look at our selections and buy something to brighten your holidays.

Take A Moment To Thank A Veteran
When you see someone in a uniform,
Someone who serves us all,
Doing military duty,
Answering their countryās call,
Take a moment to thank them
For protecting what you hold dear;
Tell them you are proud of them;
Make it very clear.
Just tap them on the shoulder,
Give a smile, and say,
"Thanks for what youāre doing
To keep us safe in the USA!"

Veteranās Day is Saturday November 11th. There will be parades and gatherings for these heroes. This one day a year is set aside for honoring Veterans and giving thanks that they are willing to make sacrifices to keep our nation strong and safe.
Veterans Day is the day set aside to thank and honor ALL those who served honorably in the military ā in wartime or peacetime. In fact, Veterans Day is largely intended to thank LIVING veterans for their service, to acknowledge that their contributions to our national security are appreciated, and to underscore the fact that all those who served ā not only those who died ā have sacrificed and done their duty.
In Sanford High School and Sanford Regional Technical Center we have 8 Veterans. We thank them for their service and recognize:
Air Force Captain Russell Clark
Air Force First Lieutenant Diane Emerson Holm
Navy Petty Officer Ray Demarett
Coast Guard Petty Officer Phillip Burbank
Air Force Specialist Peter OāBrien
Army National Guard Specialist Shawn Rowe
Army National Guard Private First Class Chris Jeney
United States Army Staff Sergeant Matt Petermann
