The Sanford Summer Meals for Kids & Teens program returns on Monday, June 17th, providing free breakfast and lunch for youth 18 and under at multiple locations across the city.
No registration is required for this USDA-funded program that aims to ensure children have access to nutritious meals when school is out for summer break. Families can simply stop by any of the participating sites during the meal service times.
This summer's participating locations and meal times are:

The Summer Meals for Kids & Teens program helps families stretch their food budgets while providing a free, convenient source of healthy meals for children during the summer months. All meals meet USDA nutritional guidelines.

This morning, the Class of 2024 received their caps and gowns and then took a trip down memory lane as they walked through the middle and elementary schools to bid farewell! Students and staff from each school filled the halls to give congratulations.Ā

We look forward to welcoming you tonight at 6:00 PM for the 2024 SRTC Recognition Night Ceremony in the Partners Bank Gymnasium on the SRTC/SHS campus. Together we will honor our graduating seniors and juniors completing 1 year programs. Thank you to the generosity of those in our communities and partnerships, we will proudly be awarding over $96,000 in scholarships and industry related tools to selected students. It's an exciting night for CTE and we look forward to sharing it with you! Due to the potential for thunderstorms in Sanford tomorrow evening, we have made the decision to move the SRTC Recognition Night Ceremony indoors. The ceremony will be held in the Partners Bank Gymnasium on the SRTC campus. 100 Alumni Blvd. Sanford, ME. Please enter through door #43 for the Performing Arts Center. SRTC's Recognition Night is TOMORROW, May 23rd, at 6:00 PM at Alumni Stadium (100 Alumni Blvd. Sanford, ME). This event will honor the 2024 seniors and 1-year program completers. It's an outdoor celebration, so dress accordingly and support our hardworking students as they achieve this milestone!


The greenhouse still has veggies, annuals, succulents, a few pansies and houseplants that would do well as outdoor plants. We will be open on a catch as catch basis when school is open from 8 am to 1 pm. Plants Plus is holding its Spring into Summer Plant sale the week of May 6. The greenhouse will be open from 8:30 to 1:00, Monday thru Friday and 9:00 to noon on Saturday, May 11. Along with the pansies, there are a variety of houseplants, early spring herbs and veggies in our greenhouse. Sanford Regional Technical Center hosted its annual Celebrating Partnerships event on Thursday, March 15th, in the agora of SHS.
The event celebrated students who have earned internships through SRTC programs and was also an opportunity for local partnerships to network with the school and community members.
