A reminder that Sanford Parks & Recreation offers Vacation Camp during February Vacation. This program is for school-age children when school isn’t in session. For high schoolers looking for community service hours, North Parish Church at 895 Main St, Sanford (across from Partner's Bank) is looking for volunteers to provide childcare on Sundays from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Usually 4-6 children, with no religious expectations. Time will be spent playing or doing a craft (which will be provided by us). If interested in volunteering, please contact pg45@hotmail.com

The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is coming to Sanford High School and SRTC on Monday, Jan. 30th for a presentation on their apprenticeship program and other employment opportunities at the Shipyard. There will be two presentations. If you are interested please see Mrs. Schindler in room D211 (Second floor green wing) to sign up. This is an opportunity to learn more about PNSY's apprenticeship program and some hints on applying before the hiring event in February. This cohort of apprentices will start in June after graduation.
