Sources of Strength Peer Leaders at Sanford Middle School participated in a Coping Skills Day with 6th Grade students last week! Led by the school counseling team, the peer leaders went into each sixth-grade homeroom to talk to students about
what stress feels like. They taught the students some coping skills related to movement, breathing and art.

3rd graders in Brooke Lederer’s class at Carl J. Lamb completed their earth day project last week. They borrowed paper shopping bags from Hannaford, and the kids decorated them with Earth Day themed pictures and messages.
They will be returned to the store to be used for bagging groceries on Earth Day (April 22nd).
In Brooke Lederer’s class, they are reading several books to increase awareness of environmental issues, especially those involving plastic and trash.

The school counselor’s room at Sanford Pride has been very busy with 12 different groups. Some groups are helping to make beautiful 2-way and 3-way agamograms expressing kindness. The culture in our building is kindness and students are learning how to show kindness to everyone.


Friends and families of Ms. McGuckin’s fourth graders at Carl J. Lamb were invited to a triad of performances by the students. The students did an amazing job with their performances! Thank you to all of the friends and families who came out to support the students!
