Reminder that Sanford's Got Talent 2023 is on Friday at 4:30pm in the SMS cafe!! Students, families, and staff and welcome to attend. Admission is $5. There will also be concessions and raffles!! We have an incredible show this year!!
Junior Achievement is a nonprofit organization that recruits volunteers to teach students about economics and personal finance. Sanford Middle School has been hosting this event for many years. On Wednesday, 11 volunteers from local businesses came to Sanford Middle School to teach 8th graders about economic and personal finance. Students rotated five sessions and learned about topics such as international trade, business, and culture.

Every year on March 8th we celebrate the women of the world who have made strides in closing the gender gap and pay tribute to the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women throughout history.

Sanford High School class of 2027 parents and guardians are invited to an evening discussion of your child's course choices at SHS tomorrow (March 7th) at the Sanford Performing Arts Center at 6 p.m. Tours of the high school are available following the discussion.
A guest speaker came to Sanford Middle School Monday morning to talk to 7th and 8th graders about the dangers and risks of vaping/e-cigarette products.

Come out to the 2nd Annual High School Instrumental Showcase TOMORROW! The concerts starts at 6 p.m. in the competition gym at the high school. It features every instrumental ensemble SHS offers. It's a really great concert to see the variety of music that our students are able to perform!
There was a packed house at the Sanford Performing Arts Center for the Spring Sing Concert on Wednesday, March 1st. The concert featured Sanford’s combined high, middle, and elementary school choruses.

Sanford Middle School held its student recognition lunches on Tuesday, February 14th.
The Middle School PTA celebrated students for their participation in sports and clubs.
They also recognized students who won Be The Change Awards and others who made the honor roll!

Reminder! The Sanford Backpack Program is holding a FREE food distribution TODAY from 3:00 pm-6:00 p.m. at the high school. This is the third year they have done this and they have increased the pounds of food this year again. This is open to all families in the Sanford Springvale area, everyone is welcome and no questions asked. Please wait till 3:00 pm and enter form the Rt. 4 entrance to 100 Alumni Blvd. Traffic will be directed to the designated food pick up area. Be courteous of other drivers and their volunteers and they hope to see you there.
