SCHOOL MEALS AVAILABLE FOR DISTANCE LEARNERS STARTING WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH LIZ DUDGEON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2020 School Meals Are Available for Students Enrolled in Sanford School Department’s Distance Learning New Locations Beginning Wednesday, September 30, 2020 additional meal pick up locations will be open on Wednesdays for students enrolled in Sanford School Department’s Distance Learning Program. Meals should be pre-ordered by 7:00 PM the night before using this Wednesday Only order form. The form can be found on the Sanford School Department website under Family Links - Food and Nutrition Program. The meals may be picked up between 11:00 to 12:00 on Wednesdays at Carl J. Lamb, Margaret Chase Smith, Memorial Gym and Sanford Middle School. FMI call the School Nutrition Program office at 608-8762.

CJL Families, Please be sure to return your child's annual health form and free and reduced lunch applications either way. If you need a new one, please call 324-8481 to request that one be sent home with your child. Also, our school nurse would like you to know that CJL will be offering a free flu shot clinic to our staff and students on Oct. 26th and 27th at 11:00am. Thank you! Sherri Baron Principal

A Great big shout out and Thank You to our amazing PTA for making the reverse motorcade a success!!!!

Good morning! The time for students being dropped off for school at CJL’s main entrance is between 7:45am and 8:20am. Breakfast is served at this time. Class begins at 8:25. Students arriving on a school bus after 8:25 will not be marked tardy. Parent pick up for students in kindergarten is at 2:50pm, grades 1 & 3 is 3:00pm, and grades 2 & 4 is 3:10pm. Parent pick up ends at 3:20pm. Students who have siblings at our school will be dismissed at the youngest sibling’s dismissal time. Please communicate with your child’s teacher about how they’ll be arriving and leaving school before the first day of school. Thanks!

Dear CJL Parents/Guardians, This is an important message from your principal and school nurse. Please contact "Nurse Amy" (Amy Humphrey - School Nurse at CJL) to make an appointment for medication drop off, prior to the start of school, to arrange medication drop offs for anything being administered at school, or emergency meds such as inhalers, Diastat or epipens. Nurse Amy will not be readily available early mornings to meet with you. She will have additional precautionary steps that she is mandated to take each morning under the given circumstances and to be in compliance with CDC guidelines. We will have supplies for students if anyone needs. No need to contact the school. We’re excited to be getting back to school soon and our staff has been working tirelessly to make the reopening of schools as safe as possible for your little ones. Please be on the lookout in about a week for PSAs or short videos that will give you a sneak peek inside the school and at some of our new procedures. CJL's Reverse Rolling Motorcade - Come See Our Staff (Rain or Shine) Friday, September 11th from 2:00pm - 3:00pm Come drive through the CJL Loop at school and wave to our friendly staff. We are excited to meet you as we begin our 30th year in education at Carl J. Lamb!

REMOTE LEARNER IMPORTANT NEWS Technology pick up for CJL Distance Learners will be the week of the 8th from 9am-3pm for any grade level, any day. K-3 IPADS & 4 Chromebooks. Parents just need to park and buzz the office and the school will be able to help them. We'd appreciate any help getting this information out to parents of remote learners.

Live Training for Parents: Seesaw, Google Classroom, & Zoom Sep 10 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM This will be a LIVE training for parents to learn how to use Seesaw, Google Classroom, & Zoom. We will offer it by grade span and share the LIVE Meeting Zoom Links soon. We have also created a link with videos that parents can watch. https://padlet.com/ccrowley9/w5l5kiz2haact6tn. Hi CJL Families, Here is a link to a YouTube Video by the CDC called, "What You Need to Know About Hand Washing." https://youtu.be/d914EnpU4Fo Thank you for teaching your students proper hand washing and preparing them for needing to do this at school when they arrive, before and after they eat or play outdoors, or if their hands are visibly soiled. We'll be teaching students to wash for 20 seconds with soap and water. Thank you for your support!
