Good news! We have been told by Studio By The Pond that school pictures for CJL’s in person learners will be here tomorrow. They’ll be given to teachers to send home with students on their next in person day.

Tonight, Ms. Devon Garabedian read a very lovely bedtime story to the CJL students who joined us via Zoom at 7:00pm. If you missed it, try again, because for the next five Thursdays Ms. G. has some more wonderful stories for you to enjoy at 7:00pm! Snuggle up and cozy in on these “longest nights of the year.” Thank you so much to Ms. G. and thank you to all of our students and families who attended. This is a reminder that the CJL Full Remote Students (full remote with teachers AND full remote with Calvert) have an opportunity to have their school pictures taken at the Memorial Gym lobby on Oct. 26th and Oct. 27th. I have attached a photo with the exact schedule. Smile!

The kindergarteners in the Pink Room practice writing their name, words, and the sight word “likes” by painting their autumn leaves and writing a sentence that goes with their picture. Beautiful work, artists and writers!

Our school pictures are being taken at CJL for Carl J. Lamb School's in person learners in Group A today and in person learners in Group B will have their pictures tomorrow, Tuesday, October 6th. Studio By the Pond was able to take the pictures much faster than they had expected which threw off our schedule a bit, even though we only scheduled 10 minutes per class. This may/may not have altered the time that teachers were able to do morning meeting today and the same may happen tomorrow. We thank you in advance for your flexibility and understanding, as it was no fault of the teachers. Reminder: School pictures for Carl J. Lamb School's distance learners, also known as remote learners , will be held at the Memorial Gymnasium on Oct. 26th, with a make up day on the 27th. Have a great day!

SCHOOL MEALS AVAILABLE FOR DISTANCE LEARNERS STARTING WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH LIZ DUDGEON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2020 School Meals Are Available for Students Enrolled in Sanford School Department’s Distance Learning New Locations Beginning Wednesday, September 30, 2020 additional meal pick up locations will be open on Wednesdays for students enrolled in Sanford School Department’s Distance Learning Program. Meals should be pre-ordered by 7:00 PM the night before using this Wednesday Only order form. The form can be found on the Sanford School Department website under Family Links - Food and Nutrition Program. The meals may be picked up between 11:00 to 12:00 on Wednesdays at Carl J. Lamb, Margaret Chase Smith, Memorial Gym and Sanford Middle School. FMI call the School Nutrition Program office at 608-8762.

CJL Families, Please be sure to return your child's annual health form and free and reduced lunch applications either way. If you need a new one, please call 324-8481 to request that one be sent home with your child. Also, our school nurse would like you to know that CJL will be offering a free flu shot clinic to our staff and students on Oct. 26th and 27th at 11:00am. Thank you! Sherri Baron Principal
