The Sanford Summer Meals for Kids & Teens program returns on Monday, June 17th, providing free breakfast and lunch for youth 18 and under at multiple locations across the city.
No registration is required for this USDA-funded program that aims to ensure children have access to nutritious meals when school is out for summer break. Families can simply stop by any of the participating sites during the meal service times.
This summer's participating locations and meal times are:
Carl Lamb School Breakfast: 7:30 – 8:30 am Lunch: 11:00am – 12:00pm
Carpentier Park Lunch: 11:15 – 11:45 am
Curtis Lake Church Breakfast: 7:30 – 8:30 am Lunch: 11:45 am – 12:30pm
Sanford High School
Breakfast: 7:30 – 8:30 am Lunch: 11:00am – 12:00pm
Sanford Middle School Breakfast: 7:30 – 8:30 am
Lunch: 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

The Summer Meals for Kids & Teens program helps families stretch their food budgets while providing a free, convenient source of healthy meals for children during the summer months. All meals meet USDA nutritional guidelines.

Today, we celebrate the Class of 2024 at Sanford High School's 131st Commencement Ceremony at 6:00 p.m. Due to the forecasted weather for this evening, the ceremony will be held indoors, in the Partners Bank Gymnasium. Please use red tickets issued to graduates for admission. We look forward to welcoming you later this evening.
It's a big day for SHS athletics! Girls lacrosse plays at Massabesic in the first round of the playoffs at 4:30 p.m. Girls tennis has a quarterfinal match against Gorham at USM at 2 p.m., and the baseball team takes on Gorham in the first round of the playoffs at Goodall Park at 3 p.m. Good luck to all teams!
This morning, the Class of 2024 received their caps and gowns and then took a trip down memory lane as they walked through the middle and elementary schools to bid farewell! Students and staff from each school filled the halls to give congratulations.
Senior Awards Night is at 6 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.

SHS girls’ tennis beat Portland High School 5-0 in their prelim tennis match yesterday! They have now advanced to the quarterfinals of the Class A South Playoffs and will play Gorham High School on Tuesday, June 4th, at 2:30 in the USM Field House. If you are attending, USM charges for parking.

National Honor Society students from Sanford High School lent a helping hand at the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunk yesterday!
47 NHS members cleaned trolleys, scraped, painted, and landscaped as part of the United Way's annual Day of Caring. Their hard work helped prepare the museum for its upcoming historic tours and trolley rides.
It's amazing to see these dedicated students giving back to the community!
