Very proud of our students today who welcomed and respectfully listened to Mr. Rotmil’s story today. The 87 year old shared his story of surviving the Holocaust and moving to America. Our SHS Civil Rights Team brought Mr. Rotmil to use and Mrs. Heidi Whitney introduced him to a full house in the SPAC. He even played us a couple tunes on his harmonica. Following his presentation, he received a standing ovation. What a amazing experience for our students and staff!

This is just a reminder that tomorrow, Wednesday, October 16th will be our Fall Career Expo day and PSAT testing day. Our grade 9 students will travel to a local college (St. Joe's and SMCC) to learn about what college may have to offer them if they choose to take that post-secondary pathway. Grade 12 students will have an opportunity to conduct a job shadow, visit a college, or work on their Community Service graduation requirement (20 hours). Grades 10 and 11 will be taking the PSAT. The cost of the PSAT's is covered by SHS and attendance for those taking the PSAT is required.
