
Reminder! The Sanford Backpack Program is holding a FREE food distribution TODAY from 3:00 pm-6:00 p.m. at the high school. This is the third year they have done this and they have increased the pounds of food this year again. This is open to all families in the Sanford Springvale area, everyone is welcome and no questions asked. Please wait till 3:00 pm and enter form the Rt. 4 entrance to 100 Alumni Blvd. Traffic will be directed to the designated food pick up area. Be courteous of other drivers and their volunteers and they hope to see you there.

TONIGHT! The high school girls basketball team hosts Noble in the quarterfinals of the Class AA South Tournament at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door (cash only). Adults $5, students and seniors $2. The game will also be streamed on WSSR-TV. Good luck Spartans!

History was made over the weekend as the Sanford Varsity Cheer team finished 4th at the state championships in Augusta! Way to go!

A huge congratulations to former Sanford High School basketball coach Bruce MacKinnon, who was recently named to the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2023! MacKinnon coached at Sanford from 1973 to 1985 and won 125 games. MacKinnon was also the principal at SHS until he retired in 1993. He will be inducted at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor on August 20th.
