The start of the school year is right around the corner! We want to remind everyone that the first day of school for students in grades 1-9 and SRTC students ONLY is Wednesday, August 30th. Kindergarteners and students grades 10-12 start Thursday, August 31st. Pre-kindergarten students start Tuesday, September 6th. We’re going back to the 1988 Class A Track and Field Championships for today’s #ThrowBackThursday The Sanford girls track team was in the middle of winning four straight Class A state titles from 1987 to 1990. Debbie Sweeney helped lead Sanford to the title with wins in the 400 and 800. Her teammates Amy Patterson and Charla Harrie were second and third in the 800! And Scott Dugas tied state records in the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdle events that day! #TBT

Going into the vault from the 1994 Sanford High School yearbook with a #ThrowBackThursday when the field hockey team started their season winning seven straight games! The seventh win of the season gave Diana Walker her 100th career victory. Diana was inducted into the Maine Sports Hall of Fame last fall!
