Good luck to SHS freshman Isaac Pelletier as he travels to Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast to compete in the Maine Cross Country State Championship! The Class A Bots race starts at 2:20 p.m.

With their win on Tuesday evening, the SHS football team has qualified for the postseason. They will head into the playoffs as the #4th seed. Sanford will travel to #1 seeded Thornton Academy on Monday, November 6th, for a 7 p.m. Class A South Regional Semi-Final game.

Every year, communities across the United States join together during the last week of October to observe Red Ribbon Week. This event serves as a symbol of unity and commitment to combating substance abuse and its effects on individuals, families, and communities. This Saturday at 5 p.m, Sanford High School has the pleasure of hosting the Maine Band Directors Association State Marching Band Finals. This is the largest marching band event in the state, and it's set to be a beautiful day at Alumni Stadium. The Sanford Spartan Marching Band performs at 5:15 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students, with a $30 family maximum. Congratulations to our SHS field hockey, and girls' soccer teams who won their Class A Prelim games on Friday 10/20. Field Hockey beat Windham 6-1 and will advance to the Quarterfinals. They will play at Gorham High School on Tuesday 10/24 at 4:30 p.m. Girls Soccer beat Bonny Eagle 4-1 and will advance to the Quarterfinals. They will also play at Gorham High School on Tuesday 10/24 at 5:30 p.m.

Our high school Volleyball team will advance to the State Quarterfinals after winning their prelim game last evening 3-0 vs South Portland. The volleyball team will head to #4 Deering High School on Saturday, 10/21 for a 12:00 p.m. start.
