
On Monday, two Sanford High School students were recognized at the Southwestern Maine Activities Association (SMAA) Citizenship banquet.
Sydney Roux and Jared Riley won SMAA Citizenship Awards for Sanford.
They received their awards at the Italian Heritage Center in Portland along with the other 16 member schools.
Congratulations!


The National Honors Society’s Variety Show is tonight in the Sanford Performing Arts Center! Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. It will be $3 for student entry and $5 for adults. Raffles and concessions will also be available.

- Aidan Gendron selected as SHS recipient for MPA’s Principal Award -
Aidan Gendron of Sanford, a senior at Sanford High School, has been selected to
receive the 2024 Principal's Award, Principal Amanda Doyle announced today. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals' Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior's academic achievement and citizenship.
“Aidan’s contributions to the SHS community are numerous and impactful. He’s an excellent student, a leader among his peers, and a steward of our core values,” Principal Doyle shared. “For all of his efforts at school, representing SHS well in extracurriculars, and in service to the greater community, Aidan is most deserving of this recognition.”
Aidan, Athletic Director Mr. Zach Lemelin, and other award winners and school administrators will attend an Honors Luncheon in Brewer in early April.

The Class of 2027 Student vs. Staff Basketball Game is TODAY, March 14th at 3:00 PM in the Competition Gym. Admission for this event is $2 at the door, and there will be concessions at the event.
