Thank you to our Howling Helpers from October! They helped Ms. McGuckin throughout the month with delivering the weekly food bags. Congratulations to our Pacer Test winners in grades 3&4 for this fall in Ms. Tibbetts PE classes.

Marvin returned on Friday to help us remember the importance of GRATITUDE! It's the right thing to do when we avoid listening to the Grumble Machine.

Yesterday, our school community came together in many different ways to honor our veterans, and today we continue to celebrate and remember those who have served.

Carl J. Lamb Elementary hosted their 3rd Annual Veterans Day Celebration in the cafeteria, where each grade performed songs for the veterans in attendance.

Our talented Sanford Pride chorus students took their gift of music to Pinnacle Health and Rehab in Sanford, where they sang for veterans and brightened their day. These thoughtful students also created handmade cards and letters to show their appreciation and let our veterans know they are remembered and valued.

Margaret Chase Smith School welcomed veterans to their 4th Annual Breakfast with Veterans in the gymnasium.

Thank you to all the veterans who joined us yesterday and to all who have served!

It was great to see all of our MCS Veterans this morning at our annual breakfast. We thank you for your service and dedication to our country and community. Our 4th grade chorus along with several classrooms presented various presentations of gratitude.

The students have been working hard this fall earning pawsitive office referrals. Every time a student goes above and beyond they are recognized over the announcements and earn a Chase bracelet. So far we have already earned 300 nominations in just the first 10 weeks of school!

🚒 Special Visitors at Margaret Chase Smith Elementary! 🚒

Our Kindergarten and Pre-K students had a blast learning about fire safety from the Sanford Fire Department.

The kids learned important skills like "stop, drop, and roll" and what to do when they hear a smoke alarm. The highlight? Getting up close to see the firefighters' gear and explore a real fire truck!

A huge thank you to our local firefighters for making safety education so fun and memorable for our youngest students. 🔥👨‍🚒

Hi all,

Thanks again for all the help last week to make our Trick or Treat event at MCS so successful again this year! Our November PTA meeting will be tonight, Monday Nov 3rd, at 6 pm on Zoom only. Please note that it is a MONDAY this month, to avoid election day on Tuesday. We will be recapping our October events, looking ahead to November events, and discussing ways to help our school community in light of the recent furloughs for many families. We hope to see you tonight! If you have any questions or input, you are always welcome to email us here or message us on Facebook.

Sincerely,
Heather Gavrish

Our elementary students in grades 2-4 from Sanford Pride, Carl J. Lamb, and Margaret Chase Smith schools got a special treat today as they visited the Sanford Performing Arts Center to experience CATAPULT - the internationally touring company featured on America's Got Talent!

What a wonderful opportunity for our young learners to witness such inspiring performances right here in Sanford!
