Dear CJL Families, We’ve got a lot to give tonight thank you to the Sanford Backpack Program & PTA! Come enjoy the free groceries at our free Ice Cream Social tonight from 6:00-7:00, right after the Kindergarten concert which starts at 5:30!
Tomorrow night is sure to be a fun evening at CJL! Our Kindergarten concert begins at 5:30 and our Free PTA Ice Cream Social starts at 6:00 for CJL families. If you have a student who’ll be in fifth or sixth grade please see the attached flyer from the SJHS principals regarding an informational meeting from 5:00-6:00 tomorrow.

First and Second Grade Music Concerts are on Thursday evening. The first graders take the stage from 5:30-6:15PM and the second graders sing from 7:00-7:45PM. Both concerts will be on the stage at CJL.

Jonah Williams, Tyson Tounge & Lyla Fiandaca were three of the 25 participants that celebrated the end of the after school running club that ran the past 4 Monday’s. Running club is offered each year that leads up to the Color fun run this weekend at CJL. Students in the club collected beads for each lap they completed.
Color run starts at 9am for all students k-8 in the community.

In Ms. Adam’s classroom students were modeling equal shares and explaining what happens to the size of piece when you have more equal shares. This work was done with our Math Coach, Ms. Daniels. Looks like these students are having a great time while learning about fractions!
Next week is spirit week in anticipation of our fourth annual CJL Kids’ Color Fun Run! All proceeds of the Color Run will go towards the purchase of a brand new playground. The Saturday event is open to the public! Hope to see you there!

Over the weekend, our generous PTA installed a new GaGa Ball Pit at CJL on the big playground out back. Today I went outside during third grade recess to see if it was being used. It was an enormous hit! Thank you to our dedicated volunteers for all you do! We love it!
This morning some of our PTA moms and children welcomed every student who was dropped off by their families with high energy, music, balloons, and signs to ensure the safest and most efficient manner to arrive. It was tons of fun and many smiles were had by all! Thank you to all our lovely volunteers!
