I'm sorry, for some reason the flyer didn't appear in the last post on our live feed for the ice fishing derby. If you open our Sanford School Department app and click on the news section, I will add it there momentarily. Classroom teachers will also be sharing it with you. Save the date! Attached is our flyer for an upcoming Ice Fishing Derby brought to you by Sanford Parks & Rec, Kittery Trading Post, and the CJL PTA! We hope to see you there for ice fishing, games, raffles, prizes, food, ice skating, sledding, a photo booth, music, and tons of fun!

Attention CJL Parents, Guardians, and Staff, Please refrain from parking on the hill leading up to our upper parking lot. Please use only designated parking spaces for safety reasons. Thank you for your cooperation!

Tomorrow's lunch (Tues. Jan. 11th) will be changed from Chicken Alfredo to Macaroni and Cheese.

Hi CJL Families, Sanford's elementary schools will begin to send electronic devices home with children starting Tue. Jan. 11th (iPads Grades K-2, Chromebooks Grades 3 & 4). Devices will travel back and forth between home and school everyday as they will continue to be used at school regularly to support in person instruction. Student devices are only permitted to be used for teacher approved school purposes by the student to whom it is assigned. Devices should remain in the backpack unless we go remote or it needs to be charged and then re-packed. This is an effort to be ready in the possible event that we have to move to remote instruction. That being said, we are hopeful to remain with our in person learning model. Contact your child's teacher with questions. Increasing Safety at Morning Drop Off: Hi CJL Families, When dropping students off in the morning, please only let them out of the car at one of the three designated drop off spots marked by signs using the passenger doors only. Please keep this line of traffic moving as quickly as possible. Should your child need longer to get ready to exit the vehicle, please pull into a parking spot and accompany them to the crossing guard when they're ready. It can be difficult for parents when they are trying to leave the parking spots if blocked by the quick morning drop off line, particularly the handicapped spaces. So please, do your best to let people out safely if you can. We appreciate your attention to these matters. Safety is our priority! Have a good evening!

The Sanford Backpack Program will be holding a big community food distribution Thursday, Jan 6th from 3:30-5:30 or until they run out of food. They will have frozen meats, meal kits, eggs, assorted canned goods and lots of fresh produce to share. This will be a curbside pick up style through the circle drive of the OLD Willard School. Please do not line up any earlier than 3:30 as we do not want to disrupt traffic flow through this school zone. This is for all Sanford School families!! Also if you would like your student to bring home a weekly backpack food bag with dry goods and pantry staples, please contact your student's teacher or counselor. Good morning, Due to issues with shipping, we only have enough today for Kindergarten students and students in our special education self contained classrooms from our free fresh fruit and veggie program. For the same reason, we will not have the free fresh fruit and veggie program again until Jan. 3rd. Please send in a snack with your child(ren), if you can. Thank you!

Free Food Distribution Thursday @ CJL 3:00pm. The Sanford Backpack Program will have a crew in place to distribute food to CJL parents during pick ups this Thursday at Dismissal near the furthest cafeteria door. Happy holidays!
