Summer vacation is upon us, and once again, the Maine Department of Education is collaborating with the Free Masons of Maine to sponsor the Read to Ride Summer Reading Challenge for students in grades PK-8. If you read at least 500 minutes this summer, you qualify for a chance to win one of 48 bikes and helmets generously donated by the Maine Freemasons. We'd like to give many thanks to all our families, PTA, volunteers, community partners, students, and staff for another wonderful year full of so many memories! Congratulations to Mrs. Conway, our very special Title I reading teacher, on her retirement after 45 years in education! Congratulations Sanford High Graduates! We'll miss our 4th graders who are going to the Middle School next year, but know they're in excellent hands! We're very proud and there just aren't enough words to say thank you to you all! Sanford Middle School hosted its Step-Up Day for 4th-grade students from Sanford Pride and Carl J. Lamb elementary schools Monday Morning. The Step-Up Day provides the incoming 5th-grade students a chance to see the school they will attend in the fall. Student leaders from the middle school provided tours for the students, showing them around the school and providing valuable information about what to expect when they begin middle school in the fall. Good evening, Due to rain in Monday's forecast, we are moving the CJL field day to Tuesday. We are flip-flopping the lunch menu for Monday and Tuesday as well to coincide with this change. Thank you!

Good afternoon, https://5il.co/1vovj Here is our weekly newsletter for CJL Families. Tomorrow we're having Field Day. Please send your child to school with sneakers and a water bottle with their first and last name on it. Teachers should have communicated about what color shirt to dress your child in. This Friday is the last day of school for Pre-K and Kindergarten. Kindergarten screening for next year's kinders is June 12th. June 13th is the last day of school for grades 1-4. We're very proud of all our learners and are looking forward to ending the year on a high note! Congratulations to the Sanford High School graduates! "Oh, the places you'll go!" Please remember to vote on the school budget on June 13th! Hope you all have a great week ahead!
