Based on the weather forecast , the superintendent of Sanford Schools has canceled all after school activities for today, Tuesday, March 3rd. Students will be dismissed at their regular time. The YMCA After Care program (Kids' Out) is also closed after school today. If you or someone you know has a child who will be 5 years old on or before Oct. 15th, this is a reminder that we are holding a community wide kindergarten registration event at Sanford Pride Elementary tomorrow, March 4th, from 3:30-6pm. Today was filled with incredible learning celebrations! Our kindergarten team at Margaret Chase Smith Elementary hosted their very first showcase this afternoon - what a special milestone! Meanwhile, our 2nd graders at Carl J. Lamb Elementary welcomed families in to share their Greek Gods/Goddesses CKLA unit of study. The students did an amazing job showcasing their learning!

Learning through play and exploration! ❄️ Carl J. Lamb Pre-K students had a blast enjoying winter activities together. From building snow creations to outdoor exploration, these young learners are discovering the world around them while staying active.
We are excited to share information with you regarding the Sanford Public School Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) programs for the 2026-2027 school year. In September, we expect to continue offering full-day Pre-K programming at Carl J. Lamb School, Margaret Chase Smith School, Sanford Pride Elementary School, Sanford Regional Technical Center, Sanford-Springvale YMCA and a new partnership with Kid’s Kove Early Learning Center.
