Based on the weather forecast , the superintendent of Sanford Schools has canceled all after school activities for today, Tuesday, March 3rd. Students will be dismissed at their regular time. The YMCA After Care program (Kids' Out) is also closed after school today. If you or someone you know has a child who will be 5 years old on or before Oct. 15th, this is a reminder that we are holding a community wide kindergarten registration event at Sanford Pride Elementary tomorrow, March 4th, from 3:30-6pm. It's a great chance to meet school staff and community providers, pick up a free book and K bag, and get your child registered for the 2026–2027 school year — all in one place!

Today was filled with incredible learning celebrations! Our kindergarten team at Margaret Chase Smith Elementary hosted their very first showcase this afternoon - what a special milestone! Meanwhile, our 2nd graders at Carl J. Lamb Elementary welcomed families in to share their Greek Gods/Goddesses CKLA unit of study. The students did an amazing job showcasing their learning!

From karaoke performances in the music room 🎤 to dancing in the cafeteria 💃, gym activities, and creative crafts in the art room 🎨, students had a great time celebrating together.
A huge thank you to our PTA volunteers who made this event possible, and to all the families who came out to spend the evening together.

We are excited to share information with you regarding the Sanford Public School Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) programs for the 2026-2027 school year. In September, we expect to continue offering full-day Pre-K programming at Carl J. Lamb School, Margaret Chase Smith School, Sanford Pride Elementary School, Sanford Regional Technical Center, Sanford-Springvale YMCA and a new partnership with Kid’s Kove Early Learning Center.
