On Saturday, April 11th, Carl J. Lamb Elementary was proud to host the second annual Maine Adaptive Music Summit, bringing together educators from across the region to share ideas and strategies for making music accessible to every student.

It was a full day of learning, meaningful conversations, and community, and we couldn't be prouder of the work our staff and the educators around us are doing to ensure every child has a place in music.

Big things happening in third grade at Carl J. Lamb Elementary! 🌟 Our students have been exploring space through reading, using Venn diagrams to organize their thinking, and writing paragraphs to compare and contrast what they've learned.

Something really cool is happening in Mrs. LaPointe's 4th grade class at Carl J. Lamb Elementary! Students have been learning to code using Micro: Bits, small computers that bring their code to life with lights, sounds, buttons, and sensors.

Through this hands-on experience, kids are building problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking skills while learning how technology actually works. The goal is simple but powerful: we want our students to be creators of technology, not just users of it.

Happy St. Patrick's Day from CJL!
Last Friday, students at Carl J. Lamb Elementary enjoyed a special Mystery Reader event! Teachers, staff, admin, and parents volunteered their time to visit classrooms and read aloud to students for 20-minute sessions. Books were provided for any readers who needed them.

It was a wonderful way to bring the school community together around a love of reading. A big thank you to everyone who participated and made it such a memorable day for our kids!
