​Sanford Regional Technical Center held its annual Career and College Fair on Thursday, November 9th. The fair provided an opportunity for students to engage with representatives and receive valuable insight, whether they are interested in college or are considering entering the workforce directly after high school.

​The Sources of Strength 8th Grade Peer Leaders planted tulip bulbs last week in the front of the school as part of a mental health awareness campaign called The Yellow Tulip Project.
Congratulations to the Sanford High School Marching Band on their 5-star Gold Medal performance at the Maine Band Directors Association (MBDA) State Marching Band Finals at Alumni Stadium on Saturday, November 4th.
Sanford Middle School’s JMG Program held its annual Haunted Woods event on Wednesday, November 1st. The event is student-led and organized, with JMG teacher Tara Houle as their guide. The event began in 2012 when students needed to raise funds to attend a volunteering trip they wanted to go to.
Kiwanis in Sanford made a donation to the SRTC Building Trades Program, recognizing the program's dedication to revitalizing Cobb Stadium.
Every year, communities across the United States join together during the last week of October to observe Red Ribbon Week. This event  serves as a symbol of unity and commitment to combating substance abuse and its effects on individuals, families, and communities.

Vaping among students has become a pressing issue in many schools, and the Sanford School Department has taken proactive measures to tackle this concern head-on.
