Dear Students, Faculty, Staff and Families,
This letter is to inform you that one individual associated with Margaret Chase Smith School and five individuals from Sanford Middle School recently tested positive for COVID-19. School representatives have notified all known school close contacts of the individuals and appropriate quarantine guidelines were provided.
The Maine Centers for Disease Control (CDC) also notified me this afternoon that Sanford Pride Elementary School is now currently considered in outbreak status because there have been three positive cases within a 14 day period.
Please monitor yourself/your student for signs and symptoms. Call a health care provider if symptoms start and stay home if you are sick. Continue to follow the safety precautions that are in place. Together our preventive steps can protect the health of our students, school personnel, and the Sanford community.
