Second Graders Share Greek Mythology Showcase with Third Grade Audience

Second grade students at Margaret Chase Smith recently took center stage as authors and presenters, hosting a special learning showcase for their third grade peers. The event featured original Greek myths created during the students' Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) unit of study.

Young storytellers retold classic myths, explained key characters and themes, and displayed their creative work through both writing and illustrations. Third graders actively participated as an engaged audience, asking thoughtful questions and connecting the myths to their own classroom learning.

The cross-grade collaboration highlighted student confidence and communication skills while demonstrating the value of sharing knowledge across grade levels. The showcase provided second graders with an authentic audience for their work and offered third graders inspiration from their younger peers' creativity and dedication.
