Sanford High School hosted the SMAA Cheer competition this past Saturday. Our own Spartan cheerleaders delivered an outstanding performance, earning a well-deserved spot at the State Cheer Championships on February 7 at the Augusta Civic Center.
The girls team finished fifth out of 10 Class A South teams.
The event was a tremendous success thanks to the hard work and dedication of many in our school community.
We're also grateful to everyone who contributed to making the day run smoothly: our coaching staff, concession volunteers, generous food donors, custodial team, and the enthusiastic spectators who filled our building to cheer on all the athletes. The impressive turnout helped the Athletic Boosters raise over $6,000 to support our student-athletes.
