Matthew Melvin

SRTC student Myles Seckler from Traip Academy claimed first place in Technical Drafting at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, bringing home gold and highlighting an outstanding week of competition for the entire SRTC team.

Throughout the week, advisors Amy Turgeon and Tim Fecteau ensured students were prepared and positioned for success at every competition event.

The competition results showcase the exceptional skills of our SRTC students. Booker Sylvain earned an impressive fifth place finish in CNC Programming, while Rielly Glidden secured eighth place in Firefighting. The Crime Scene Investigation team of Elaina Gagnon, Harmonee Shaw, and Macie Tardiff worked together to achieve 14th place, and Brody Worth finished 15th in Collision Damage Appraisal.

Additional strong performances came from Matthew Melvin in 29th place for Related Technical Math, Lailani Everett placing 32nd in Culinary Arts, and Melody Rousselle finishing 41st in Architectural Drafting. Each student represented SRTC with pride and demonstrated the high-quality technical education they've received.
