Sanford High School Students Shine at Prestigious State Music Festival

Four talented chorus students from Sanford High School represented our community with distinction at the elite 2025 Maine Music Educators Association (MMEA) BOC All-State Music Festival held at the University of Maine in Orono this past weekend.

Meredith Schoenherr and Lillian Poto performed in the SSAA Choir under the direction of acclaimed conductor Dr. Brandon Williams, while Hope Abott-Eaton and Calleigh Bill participated in the SATB Choir led by nationally recognized Dr. Francis Fonza.

Selection for this prestigious event requires passing a highly competitive audition process, putting these students among the top young musicians in Maine. Participants spent an intensive weekend rehearsing before delivering a magnificent final concert.

This accomplishment reflects not only their exceptional musical abilities but also their dedication to their craft. The Sanford community celebrates Meredith, Lillian, Hope, and Calleigh for their outstanding achievement and for representing our school with excellence and professionalism.
