Sanford Seniors walk through Sanford Middle School and elementary schools for a trip down memory lane.

Seniors in the Sanford School Department were given a unique opportunity to take a trip down memory lane before their graduation ceremony.

After receiving their caps and gowns Tuesday morning, seniors loaded up on buses and toured Sanford Middle School, Sanford Pride Elementary, Carl J. Lamb, and Margaret Chase Smith.

Students and staff at each school were ready and waiting for the seniors.

As the graduating seniors walked through the halls, they were greeted with cheers and congratulations from the students and staff. Music played in the halls, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.

For many seniors, the tour was a chance to connect with teachers they hadn’t seen in a while. Some took time to stop and say hi and hug teachers.

The tour was a great way to bring the graduating seniors back to their roots and remind them of their journey to get to this point.

The tour concluded at the high school and technical center, with students and staff waiting and cheering them on as they took one last walk through the building.

Overall, the tour of the schools was a fantastic event that allowed the graduating seniors to reconnect with their past and appreciate the journey they had taken to get to graduation day.

The graduation ceremony is Wednesday at 6 p.m.
