JMG students at Sanford Middle School visited the Sanford Police Department this morning.
SRO Officer Joe Jourdain and Officer Sam Bennett explained the hiring process and job expectations for police officers.
Officer Bennett talked to students about his duties as a detective and the investigation process, while Officer Jourdain took other students on a department tour.
Students learned about fingerprinting, casting, MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) talk, and much more.
The students were attentive, engaged, and respectful during the tour.
Students had lunch with officers at the end of their visit.
