Student Enrollment & Registration
Welcome to the Sanford School Department! We look forward to meeting your family. Registration packets are available below and at all schools. Please bring your completed registration packet, your child's original birth certificate, and proof of residency to the appropriate school listed below. Packets can also be e-mailed as PDFs to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Children who are 4 years of age on or before October 15th, 2020 are eligible to register for Pre-Kindergarten. Please call Central Office (207 324 2810) to register a child for a Pre-Kindergarten program. For more information regarding Sanford's Pre-Kindergarten Programs, click here.
Children who are 5 years old on or before October 15th, 2020 are eligible for Kindergarten. Please call Carl J. Lamb Elementary School (207 324 8481) to have a registration packet mailed to your address.
Placement for children in Grades 1 - 4 is determined by school principals, based on the following:
- Keeping siblings together when possible and programming allows
- Special education programming needs
- Balancing class sizes and profiles
- Placing students at the school closest to his/her residence based on home address
