Digital Design Creates Movie Posters

The Digital Design and Video Production programs recently collaborated with a short critique of the horror movie posters created in the Digital Design class. The session included discussing the difference in the conversion from RGB color space (monitor and programs) to the print world of CMYK color. Students can see how printing and resolution are key, as well as issues such as dot gain that can make the images darker when printed.

After student voting throughout the school, the winning poster for "most scary" is Rhys Hill, Sanford Junior; who also won for "movie I most want to see". Winner of "most creative" is Emily Robinson, (Kennebunk), for her movie called "The Haunted Inferno." Congratulations!
