SRTC's Academy of Business Program and Next Gen Personal Finance hosted Yanely Espinal on Thursday. She visited to share insights from her newly released book, Mind Your Money.
Academy of Business teacher Susan Lamoreau has worked closely with NGPF for the past three years. According to Lamoreau, NGPF's resources bring great value to the Academy of Business program, particularly in the realm of personal finance management.
The workshop-style interactive presentation allowed students to learn from Yanely's personal story and also ask questions about the money skills they're most curious about.
Many of the students were already familiar with Yanely. She's been an integral part of the program's professional development sessions and regularly visits class every Friday for "FinCap Friday."
Lamoreau said her visits, energy, and expertise have left a lasting impression on her students.
