Several SRTC programs had the opportunity to hear the memories of September 11th from FDNY 9/11 paramedic David Shane Friday morning. Our students and the adults in the room were captivated hearing his recollections of that day and the days following 9/11. At this point, our students were not even born when the attacks of September 11th took place 22 years ago, so they do not understand how that day in our history impacted many of us. Hearing David's stories of what that day and the days following were like, helps our students understand what happened at Ground Zero. Thank you David for sharing your experiences with our students.
