Sanford Regional Technical Center had its Health Occupations Pinning Ceremony on Wednesday night.

Ellen Barry’s and Diane Emerson-Holm’s students were pinned for completing the Health Occupations Program.

The pinning ceremony celebrates the commitment, compassion, and dedication required to care for others.

Kathy Sargent, the director of Sanford Regional Technical Center, congratulated and honored the dedicated students – some of whom have chosen to pursue a career in nursing or healthcare.

As CNAs, they will be on the frontlines of healthcare, supporting patients and residents by holding their hands, listening to them, and providing comfort and support.

Sargent encouraged them to treat each patient as their own family with empathy and love.

Megan Stiles, the Administrator of Summer Commons in Sanford, also spoke at the ceremony, congratulating the students for their hard work.
