SMS JMG Students Attend MYAN's NOW Conference: A Youth Action Network Forum

Seven of the SMS JMG Students will be virtually attending the 2020 MYAN (Maine Youth Action Network)  NOW Conference. This is a Youth Action Network Forum where youth from around Maine will meet with MYAN facilitators to learn about how they can take action around issues that are important to them, in their own schools and communities. Students also could be invited to take action on a state level. Some topics students can choose to learn more about while at the conference are: Mental Health Stigmas, the Black Lives Matter Movement, Restorative Justice programs used within the school system, Body Positivity, Climate Change, and they can choose to attend a  general training on Youth Leadership.

This is a powerful conference meant to inspire the youth of our state to step up and take action around the issues that are important to them!

This will take place Saturday, November 14th.
