SPORTS UPDATE:
Due to the weather, we have some practice changes for today.
Track and Field:
No practice today
Baseball:
Will meet in the gym after dismissal.
Softball:
Practice will be in the multi-purpose room from 2:30-4:00. Sneakers only, no cleats.
Girls Lacrosse:
No practice today. Home game tomorrow vs Shapleigh at 3:45.
Boys Lacrosse:
Practice will be in the Gym today from 4:30-6:00. Use door #5, the Gym Entrance, when you arrive back at the school. Bring Sneakers.
*Sources of strength peer leaders are meeting today during Spartan time in the cafeteria.
*8th grade band and chorus students, permission slips for the USM field trip are due tomorrow! If you need a new copy, please see Mr. Hyssong before then.
*Mechanical Advantage Club meets this afternoon with Miss Nason.
*Today 6th grade and 8th grade students will be going SPAC to see the Wizard of Oz. Busses will start boarding at 8:30 for 6th graders. 6th graders will stay in HR until the announcement to board busses. 8th grade will go to block 1 and return to HR around 9:00 to wait for announcement to board busses.
8th graders will board as soon as busses return from dropping off 6th grade. 8th graders will return from the show first and have their normal lunch. When 6th graders return, they will do a grab and go and return to classrooms to eat.
*Today is a 5th grade Chorus day.
*Through March and into April, a number of SMS JMG students competed in the Maine State Stock Market Competition. They competed against over 200 student teams state wide. The results are in and we are very proud to announce that 8th grader Billy Chaplain placed third in the state in the competition! With Owen Jutras placing 6th and Laila Matthews coming in 11th. That’s pretty incredible! Great work and congratulations!!!
*Any 8th Grade JMG student who has a waiver for Mrs. Houle, please bring it to the JMG room after announcements.
