*Congratulations to both the 7th and 8th grade girls soccer teams on their wins against Noble. Both teams won 2-0. Great job, ladies! 

*Do you like number puzzles and figuring out math riddles?  Join the Math Club!  Math Club starts Monday, Oct 20th and will meet every week in Mrs. Kumka's room until 3:45pm.  You need a signed permission form to attend.  They are posted outside Mrs. Kumka's door in the library.  See you there!

*If your video games became reality - would you make it through? Next Thursday, October 23rd, the JMG students are putting on their annual HAUNTED WOODS event at Gowen Park!!! This year - we're going to see if you can survive real life versions of your favorite video games. It's only $5 to enter the woods, there's FREE candy and hot chocolate, snacks, and more for sale! The woods open at 6pm! See you there!

*This Thursday, October 16,  will be the first Civil Rights Team  meeting. We will meet in Ms. McGuckin's room (Room 1208 in the main hallway) from 2:20-3:20. The civil rights team believes that, in our school community, everyone should feel safe, welcome, and respected for who they are. We believe that bias, prejudice, and hate have no place in our school. We can celebrate our differences and work together to create a stronger school community. If you feel strongly that every student at SMS should be welcome here, please join us in the Room 1208 this Thursday from 2:20-3:20!

*5th grade Minecraft Club will start this Thursday after school in Mr. Willinski's room. You must have a permission slip to attend! If you are attending 5th grade Movie Night, you can stay with Mr. Willinski until it starts at 4pm. 

*The Pie Fundraiser ends this Friday.  Please bring all order forms to Mrs. Cole in the Counseling Office by Friday afternoon.  Winners will be announced next week.

*Picture Re-Take's are today.  If you have not yet had your picture taken, whether you are purchasing any or not, please come down to the office when an announcement is made.   

*October is bullying-prevention month. October 22nd is Unity Day. This is a day that supports kindness, acceptance, and inclusion by uniting against bullying. Please join the counselors and wear orange on October 22nd to show that you are a safe person that will unite against bullying.
