*Quite a few books came in on Thursday but there are still 490 out. Most are books that are more than 3 months overdue so really check your shelves at home and the black hole under your bed. 6th grade has the least amount of books still out with 100 but 5th grade only has 101.
*8th graders will be going to Funtown on their field trip today, leaving around 10am! Please wait for announcements to load the busses. They will be returning to SMS later this evening.
*Congratulations to all of the JMG students on their incredible closing ceremony last night. You should be very proud of everything you've accomplished this year.

Also -- huge congratulations to Lana Perez, who took the initiative to apply for the National Explore Act Tell Grant - which, in the past, has funded our classroom snackdash boxes. We found out yesterday that because of her application and video submission, SMS was awarded $2,000 in funds to keep SnackDash going through next year!!
