*All recycled aluminum can tabs collected will provide the Ronald McDonald House with money to help sick children. Today marks the official start of the can tab collection project. Please bring in all your soda, seltzer, and other tabs from canned goods in from home and place them in one of the collection containers located throughout the school. Thank you for your support!
*Today is a 6th Grade Chorus day. All 6th Grade Chorus students should report to the upstairs music room following these announcements.
*The 7th and 8th Grade Girls Soccer teams got a 3-0 win over Biddeford!
*The SMS field hockey team improved their record to 4 and 0 with a 7 to nothing win over Saco Middle School on Monday. Keep up the great teamwork, girls!
*PLEASE HAVE STUDENTS check the LOST AND FOUND on your way back from lunches!! It’s getting full again. All items will be donated on FRIDAY 10/11!
*We are so proud to see many of you being respectful to your teachers and your peers and taking your school work seriously. It makes SMS a great place to be when everyone treats each other well! Teachers will be awarding raffle tickets to students seen making great choices in classrooms, hallways and more.
Here's how it works: When you get a ticket, drop it into your grade level's bucket on the stage during lunch. Every Friday, we'll pull winners from each grade level, and you'll get to visit the main office to pick out a prize!

*Mechanical Advantage Club will meet this week in room 1228 with Miss Nason on Thursday, October 3rd from 2:15-3:30. You must have a permission form returned in order to attend. Please make arrangements for a pick up at 3:30 or plan to take the late bus. See Miss Nason anytime for more information.
*Those interested in playing the piano, guitar, bass, or drum set in Jazz Band - the first rehearsal will be today from 2:30 to 3:30 in Mr. Hyssong’s room (room 148). All other instruments will meet later in the month. Let’s make some music!
