TODAY IS A RED DAY

  • Today is a 6th grade band day. Lessons for LC 7. Trumpets are at 8:40. Flutes are at 9:55, Percussion is at 11:15. Clarinets are at 12:10 and full band is at 1:05 tutorial.
  • Mrs. Williams' Allied Arts classes will meet in Mr. Tyson's room 18 today.
  • Today at lunch, students can use a respect card to take a chance on a $5.00 Aroma Joe’s gift card.  There is a black box on the stage if you have a card and want to enter it.  You can choose to enter as many times as you have cards as you have or none at all- your call!  Winners will be announced on Monday morning- more raffles to come soon!
  • October is Bullying Prevention Month.  There’s often more to bullies than meets the eye. It’s important to be kind to everyone, no matter the situation.  Student Council thanks you for wearing blue to show your support, sending a message of acceptance to all.
  • After school today:

      Bus 15 students will ride Bus 4 to the high school and get onto Bus 15

      Bus 18 students will ride Bus 3 to the high school and get onto Bus 18

      Bus 8 students will ride Bus 6 to the high school and get onto Bus 8

  • Come to the Block Party today from 4:00-5:30.  There will be music, activities and snacks. $5.00 to get in.
  • If you have not turned in your pie orders please do so right after the moment of silence.
  • Math club will be meeting Monday, October 28th until 3. Help us celebrate National Chocolate Day, and find out if Mr. Mars is true to his word when it comes to how many Red m&ms you get per bag.
  • Mechanical Advantage Club will start meeting on Monday afternoons in room 39 from 2-3:15 pm.  Please make sure to arrange your ride ahead of time.
  • All students interested in cooking club need to stop by Mr. Tyson or Miss Allen’s room today and sign up by the end of the day Monday!
  • Congratulations to our cross country team! They had an amazing final meet at Noble High school last night. They competed against 11 other schools and came in the top 5, way to go! 
  • There is an Informational Meeting for 7th Graders who have signed up in the cafe to play a Winter Sport.  This meeting will be to meet the coaches and to collect paperwork needed in order to try out.  This very important meeting is on Tuesday Oct. 29th from 2:10-2:30.  Please listen closely to the following locations:

    7th Boys Basketball will meet in Rm #37 (Ms. Allen's room) with Mr. Mann
    7th Girls Basketball will meet in Rm #26 (which is in the gym) with Coach Jamie Lovejoy
    7th Grade Cheerleading will meet in the Cafe with coach Brooke Berry.
    Please arrange for your rides to pick you up no later than 2:30.
  • Who's joining us on Tuesday for the Haunted Woods?! 6pm to 8pm at Gowen Park. Rumor has it that we even have some 5th grade teachers in the woods this year...! I wonder if you'll spot them! See you there!
  • Any 7th grader interested in trying out for 7th grade boys and 7th grade girls basketball or Cheerleading, sign ups will be posted in the cafe starting Monday and will be in the cafe until Friday.  Remember that you must sign up if you are planning on trying out.  You also need to have a physical from your doctor on file with the school nurse.
