National School Counselor Appreciation Week!
*We celebrate this week to promote an awareness of what the school counseling program offers to students, such as help with academics, attendance, social situations, family life, mental health, future aspirations, and other concerns. Thank you SMS School Counseling Team for all you do!
*Chess club today in Mr. Pyle's room from 2:15-3:00. Please have rides ready at 3:00.
*Art Club will meet after school today until 3:20.
*Mechanical Advantage Club meets this afternoon in room 1228 with Miss Nason from 2:15-3:30.
*Today is an 8th Grade chorus day. It is also a chorus day for 7th Grade students who are not in band. We will meet in the upstairs music room following announcements.
*Coach Coleman would like to remind everyone that the first wrestling practice starts tomorrow after school in the multipurpose room. If anyone grades 6th-8th missed sign-ups and is still interested in joining the wrestling team, please plan to attend practice tomorrow..
*Annie Jr Cast Members have rehearsal today until 4:00 in the cafeteria. As always, there are important updates for cast members to check on Google Classroom. Please do so this morning.
*Reminder that Sanford's Got Talent Audition slots are filling fast! There's a few spots left so be sure to get your audition forms in to Mrs. Houle in room 1232 this week! $100 Cash prize for first place, $50 for second, and $25 for 3rd and 4th! Comedians, magicians, dancers, singers, hula hoopers, all talents are welcome!!
*Tryouts for volleyball and wrestling will begin tomorrow from 2:30-4:00. All paperwork should be brought to tryouts.
*The student leadership Winter art contest will be extended to next Friday February 9th. Any winter themed drawing or painting is accepted! We only have a few submissions and we know that Sanford's Got Talent!!! You can give your drawing to your homeroom teacher or bring it up to Mrs. Brown's room 2217 in the yellow wing. $10 amazon gift cards to the winner in each grade level...and teachers we've got a space for you too! Let your creativity shine!!
