Ashley Gray, guest speaker, with our 8th grade JMG students.

Last week, Ashley Gray came to speak to our JMG students about how she overcomes her barriers.  Ashley, born with Cerebral Palsy and recently diagnosed with Lupus, does not let that define her, she remains positive and for 10 years has had her own TV show on Biddeford Public Access called the "Awesome Ashley Show".  She told the students to "be kind to one another" and "push through your barriers".  At the end of her presentation, she asked us to come on to her show.  I will be bringing a few students next month to be interviewed, take a tour, and potential job shadow.

This is all part of our unit of identifying barriers and learning how to overcome them to be able to succeed in their job (or in this case, at school).
