*From the SMS Civil Rights team! Tomorrow, January 27th, is Holocaust Memorial Day. This annual day of remembrance aims to remind the world of the horrors perpetrated on the Jewish people in Nazi Germany and genocides that followed in the years since World War Two. The holiday takes place on the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest concentration camp. The Holocaust threatened the fabric of our civilization and genocide must still be resisted every day. The theme for this year's Holocaust Memorial Day is the Fragility of Freedom. Please join us as together we bear witness for those who endured genocide, and honor the survivors and all those whose lives were changed beyond recognition.
